So it’s not Matt Farah’s million-mile Lexus?

This is Matt Farrah’s million mile Lexus if you subtract some miles. And change the model year. And the color. Other than that though, they’re one and the same.

That I am. But he doesn't have a S600 ! So I have that going for me. How's your SL doing?

Also a lovely font. Font choice often goes underappreciated. You have good taste.

Its running pretty well overall. It has some new dings on the hood that will need paintwork soon, just trying to sort out the spare cash to make it happen. The suspension is mostly working, but from time to time the light still comes on. Its a stumper. Im going to remove about 8oz of fluid, so its below the full line when cold, and see if anything changes. I also need to look at the fluid return line, I think thats where my problem is, I think fluid isnt returning, so theres excess pressure. Hard to say for sure though, not being an engineer that designed it or having years of experience repairing them, Im a little perplexed. Its due for some fresh tires next year though. Maybe even over the winter if its mild enough. Tread is okay, but the tires are about 4 years old, around 20-25k miles by now. The grip is not what it used to be, for sure. Still a dependable car though, just wish I had somewhere to store the top other than on the car.
How’s the S Klasse?

Thank you. Font is definitely an important element on anything you do.

It’s burning a quart of oil every 3 months and it’s leaking coolant. I’m taking it in on Tuesday to get that fixed. I never fixed the PSE pump or passenger airbag sensors. I’ll probably fix that this winter along with having the paint touched up in a few places and also having the wheels re-finished. Other than that she's running great. She still pulls like a damn train.

Interesting with the oil, mine doesnt burn much at all. Even the HEMIWagon has been exceptionally well behaved, it burned 1 quart in 6000 miles. I want to go another 2500-3500 before I change it, so I just topped it off, but nothing crazy.
I was taking a pretty close look at some things on the SL earlier, one of the brake lines looks a little chewed up, Im going to have to talk to my friend about that, had his shop install the stainless steel flex lines, so Im not super thrilled, but he’ll make it right.
Also just got my own little grease gun, so I can hit all the bushings after I clean the zerks fittings. Not a bad investment. The bushings and ball joints are going to start needing attention soon, but if a little grease can buy me some time, thats what I need right now.

I'm not sure if I should keep filling my S600 with money until it hits 155,000 miles so I can get a mileage badge for the grille.

I’m pretty sure LS400s came from the factory with 155,000 miles on them. The mileage badge is the Lexus emblem imo.
